English III 1st Hour-1st Hour Assignments

Write a ten sentence narrative fully describing an event in your life.  This event can be a positive or negative occurrence in your life. Describe the event including taste, touch, smell, sight, hearing if applicable. Use similes, metaphors, personification, onomatopoeia, analogies to add description to your writing.

Write about one problem or issue in our world that you have a solution for and explain what you would do to fix it.
               - must include one compound sentence using a comma and a conjunction correctly
               - must include one introductory clause followed by a comma and the rest of the sentence
               - must include at least seven sentences
               -must include correct punctuation, word usage, and sentence structure
