2023-2024 Jr. Beta Requirements Membership
Membership for Jr. Beta is a privilege and not a right. Students must be in good standing for all aspects of what a member should be: good character, good attitude, and good mentality.
Meetings
This chapter of the Junior Beta Club shall meet on a monthly basis. Members will be drawn, this school year, in grades 6-8. Requirements The scholastic requirement for membership shall be a 3.0 grade point average. Students must maintain this 3.4 GPA each semester. Grade point averages will be checked at mid-term and again at the end of the school year. Failure to maintain this scholastic requirement will result in a probation period until the next checkpoint. If the scholastic requirement of 3.4 GPA still has not been met, this will result in permanent termination of membership in the club for the student. Any member of the Jr. Beta Club will also receive probation/termination if he/she has official state write-ups during the course of the school year. Conventions
Each year the club will attend District and State Conventions. Each member is expected to obtain the minimum number of points in order to attend any convention. Service Points All members are required to obtain a minimum of 100 service points by the end of November of each school year in order to attend the state convention. Service points are obtained by participating in school events, completing community service hours, and by collecting Community Coffee Labels.
