Research Paper Rough Draft- TURN IN HERE

Double-check your paper for the following: 

Introduction- General to specific information- The first time you mention your topic should be in the sentence right before your thesis.  Your thesis must encompass your entire paper in one or two sentences. 

Body Paragraphs- Start from the beginning.  Write well-developed, well-thoughtout sentences restating what you learned from your research.  CITE all sources.  Each time you finish paraphrasing or quoting a source, you should have a parenthetical citation at the end of the last sentence.  It should look like this (Young). 

Works Cited Page- This is the last page of your research paper. It does NOT count as one of the three pages of your paper. It should have a page number and your last name in the top right margin just like all of the other pages in your paper. Rough Draft Research Paper Checklist- This is the checklist I will use when grading the format of your paper.

___ Last name & page numbers on right margin of each page
___ Title of paper centered on first page
___ Double-spaced/ 12 pt. Times New Roman
___ Research paper is at least three full pages in length- not to exceed four full pages in length
___  All 5 sources are used in the research paper at least once
___ All 5 sources are cited correctly on the works cited page
___  The works cited page is the last page of the research paper- starting on the top of a new page-
